About me 2

Hi there, I’m Ainsley, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way to Village Recipes! Born and raised in the heart of Texas, I’m 35 now, but my love affair with food started long before I could even reach the stove. Some of my earliest memories are of helping my grandma in her tiny kitchen, where we’d spend hours rolling out dough for biscuits and waiting for the cornbread to get that perfect golden crust. Those moments taught me that food isn’t just about nourishment—it’s about connection, tradition, and joy.

As I grew up, I started experimenting more in the kitchen—sometimes a little too much (ask my family about the time I tried to make “upside-down lasagna”… let’s just say it wasn’t my finest hour). But with every success and every little kitchen mishap, I learned that cooking is a journey, not a destination. It’s about trying new things, learning from the process, and above all, sharing the results with the people you love.

That’s exactly what I want Village Recipes to be—a place where you feel inspired to cook, no matter your skill level. Whether you’re a beginner just learning to scramble eggs or a seasoned home chef looking for your next family favorite, I want this site to feel like a welcoming kitchen where we can swap stories, tips, and, of course, recipes.

I believe great food doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated. It’s about using what you have, embracing the seasons, and adding a little love to every dish. So, pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee (or a glass of sweet tea if you’re like me), and let’s cook something wonderful together.

Welcome to Village Recipes. Let’s make memories, one meal at a time.
